Advanced Ceramics
This class is designed for serious students who have a good foundation and understanding of the ceramic process. It’s set up to help refine and improve your skills.
It will cover both wheel work, hand building as well as sculpture. Glaze application and testing will also be addressed. Each student should have a plan, a notebook and a passion for clay!
All classes include a 15-visit punch card for Open Studio time for students to work on projects between classes. Open Studio access ends 10 weeks from the date of the first class.
Supplies Students Should Bring:
- Basic Pottery Tool Kit
- Optional: Apron and Hand Towel
- Notebook/journal for notes, to track firing of your pieces, etc.
Supplies included:
- 25-pound block of brown or white clay
- Glazing and firing
No outside clay allowed.
