Virginia Beach Art Center - Pottery Studio

Description of the class:

Spring really is around the corner and to celebrate the return of warmth, all our projects will center around the garden and outdoor life. Some of the items we’ll make will be functional but we’ll also explore garden sculpture. The slab technique will be emphasized although building solid and building with coil will be options. We will also experiment with various types of surface design. The class is suitable for beginner to experienced students.

All classes include a 15-visit punch card for Open Studio time for students to work on projects between classes. Open Studio access ends 10 weeks from the date of the first class.

A 25 lb. block of clay comes with the class, and more is available for purchase. No outside clay is allowed.

Supplies needed: pottery tools, apron, towel and small notebook
