Abstract Acrylic Florals with Valerie White - All Level

Sunday, March 15th, 12:00pm - 3:00pm (1 day workshop)

There's the perfect flower and then there is the perfectly abstracted flower. Join me to learn acrylic painting techniques that capture the essence of florals through a fun, loose, and free flowing abstracted process. We will start with a series of warm up florals on paper to learn basic composition and techniques; then move onto a mini canvas; and ultimately work on a full-size canvas.

Each student will be provided with a mini canvas for the project. Following is the student supply list:

- Selection of acrylic paints (blue, red, yellow, black, white, and any other colors you like)

- Variety of paint brushes and palette knives

- Couple sheets of watercolor paper

- Mid-size canvas or canvas board

- Container for water and a palette for paint
