Class description:

Skill Level: Intermediate

Virginia Beach Art Center - Pottery Studio

Human and animal bodies/faces will be the primary focus; however, students are free to follow their whims (e.g. bas reliefs, abstract, etc.).

The sculptures may be made from solid clay, coils, slabs, etc. Students should have at least a basic knowledge of hand building with water-based clay.

Students should bring pottery tools. It also helps to bring pictures of animals or faces if that is what you will be working on.

All classes include a 15 visit punch card for Open Studio time for students to work on projects between classes. Open Studio access ends 10 weeks from the date of the first class.
