Virginia Beach Art Center - Pottery Studio

Description of the class:

With cold weather approaching, we’ll be handbuilding items to help keep you warm and cozy. Winter is the perfect time for cooking, baking, and sitting around the table with friends and family. We’ll be creating functional pottery with the kitchen and entertaining in mind. The slab technique will be emphasized although building solid and building with coil will also be options. Different forms of surface design will also be explored. This class is suitable for beginner to experienced students.

All classes include a 15-visit punch card for Open Studio time for students to work on projects between classes. Open Studio access ends 10 weeks from the date of the first class.

A 25 lb. block of clay comes with the class, and more is available for purchase. No outside clay is allowed.

Supplies needed: pottery tools, apron, towel and small notebook
