Open Studio
Prerequisite: student must have completed a multi-week pottery class with us and be able to work independently to be eligible to register for Open Studio.
Open Studio purchase is non-transferrable - to another class purchase or another student.

It's time to get mud on your hands and create! Open studio allows you independent time to work on projects of your choice. Check out the open studio hours on our calendar.
Independent Open Studio is available to studio users who have completed a class with us. If you are brand new to the Bailey Ceramic Studio, please sign up for a class first. This ensures that you understand our procedures (especially for glazing and clean-up), have adequate independent skills and are able to use our community studio in a safe manner.
We have 15 wheels, a slab roller and a large variety of tools and equipment for your use. Space and equipment availability is on a first-come-first-served basis. Once the first visit is used, the tuition is nonrefundable.
An Open Studio punch card is good for 15 visits to the pottery studio during open studio hours. Clay is not included with punch card purchase, but clay may be purchased separately at the studio or on the pottery supplies page. Glazing and firing is included. All clays, glazes and other materials must be purchased or provided by VB-AC. No outside supplies are allowed without advanced approval.
We stock Standard and Laguna clays (112 Brown with Speck stoneware, 182 White Stoneware, 213 Domestic Porcelain, and Laguna B-Mix5) Standard 266 Umbria Dark Brown is also available. Other specialty clays can be ordered separately.
Check the calendar for the available dates and times. It is recommended that you confirm the session before heading over to the studio.
