Virginia Beach Art Center - Pottery Studio

Students of all levels are welcomed to grow in this wonderful art form. Hand building basics will be taught on the first night.

This class explores various hand building techniques to create individualized pieces of pottery using your imagination. Project suggestions are welcomed and will be integrated into class time based on the ability of the class members. Individual hand building project work is encouraged and will be supported by the instructor. Surface embellishment and glazing ideas will also be explored where students can try different techniques.

Class includes 40-hours of Open Studio time for students to work on their projects outside of class. Open Studio access ends 2 weeks after the class ends unless student is signed up for another session.

A 25 lb. block of clay comes with the class, and more is available for purchase. No outside clay is allowed.

Shelf must be cleared the last day of class unless student is signed up for another session.
