Connect thru Art - Pottery - August 2024

Connect thru Art is a free program open exclusively to military-connected members of our community.

Being in the military comes with unique challenges, and we believe that exploring your creativity can help you face those challenges. Clay is a unique medium that is both calming, invigorating, and fun!

Ages: 8+. If participant is under 18, they must be accompanied by a qualifying adult. One adult may accompany up to 2 children.

Skill Level: Beginner

The August Class meets on:

• Saturday, August 3, 10 am - noon and
• Saturday, August 17, 10 am - noon

This is a 2-week class:

• Week 1 - You will be taught how to throw on the wheel and hand-building techniques using clay slabs. You will be completing both a hand-building project and a project on the pottery wheel.
• Week 2 - You will be introduced to glazing and surface-design techniques and use these techniques on your pieces from week one.

Your pieces will be fired and finished, and you will be notified when your pieces are ready to be picked up.
