Class Description:
Join our immersive Two-Day Watercolor Studio Workshop for Beginners and Continuing Education! This course is designed to unlock the world of watercolors for both newcomers and those looking to deepen their skills. Over two days, you'll explore fundamental watercolor techniques while receiving personalized, one-on-one guidance tailored to your unique needs and goals.


Our experienced instructor will lead you through engaging discussions on essential supplies, conduct inspiring demonstrations, and guide you through hands-on exercises. The primary emphasis of this workshop is YOU and your personal artistic journey. We encourage you to bring your own projects and ideas to the studio, where you'll receive expert feedback and support in bringing your creative visions to life.

Whether you're taking your first steps in watercolor or seeking to refine your craft, this workshop promises an enriching experience that will nurture your creativity and fuel your passion for watercolor painting.

Supplies:
One Arches 9x12 pad 140 lb. Cold Press watercolor paper (Please purchase this brand)
One Watercolor palette. A White Ceramic or metal tray. Ceramic palettes are easier to clean.
Paper towels
Kneaded Eraser
Drawing Pencils
Pencil Sharpener
Mechanical Pencil (0.5mm) Pentel or Staedtler brand
A cup for water

Brushes: Highly recommend a set of round Synthetic Kolinsky brushes or Sable brushes of various sizes. 3-5 brushes of various sizes. The instructor uses Escoda Versatil Synthetic Kolinsky Travel Brushes. Synthetic Kolinsky brushes are an affordable option over Sable brushes.
Recommended Watercolor tubes. Suggested colors from Daniel Smith (small tubes. 5ml/17fl oz):
Burnt Umber
Raw Sienna
Sap Green
New Gamboge
Lemon Yellow
Ultramarine Blue
Phthalo Blue
Alizarin Crimson
Quinacridone Red
Cadmium Red
Ivory Black
or 10/12 set of Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor tubes. An affordable alternative.
