Junk Journaling for Beginners with Ariel B.

Saturday, October 17th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm (1 day workshop)

This class is for all ages!

Junk journaling isn’t just about using “junk" It’s about collecting, exploring, playing with, and celebrating the memories and experiences we’ve gathered over time. Your journal can be a place to experiment with photos, tickets, paper scraps, words, colors, and little pieces of everyday life. Start small and use what feels comfortable to you. There are no rules about making it perfect—just explore what you can create with a little paper, glue, and tape, and let your journal become something that is uniquely yours.

This class is for all ages and for everyone so bring your curiosity and come create!

Basic supplies to get started:

(Please note: You do not need to purchase all the supplies from the list below. Your instructor will bring supplies to share with you as well! Show up. Bring what you can.)

• A mixed-media spiral notebook is a good start to give you more space.
• Glue or Mod Podge
• Decorative tape, washi tape
• Stickers of all kinds
• Photos, printed pictures
• Magazine cutouts, old mail
• Hole punch/ shapes
• Concert/ Movie tickets and other memorabilia
• Scrap paper, envelopes, and tissue paper scraps, wrapping paper, cardboard
• Pens, markers, or colored pencils, paint, ink stamps
• Scissors, Decorative edge Scissors, exacto knife
• A ruler (optional)

Start with what you already have around you. You don’t need a huge collection to begin—just a few meaningful pieces and the willingness to play!
