Introduction to Colored Pencil Workshop with Carol Joannette
Saturday and Sunday, June 20th - June 21st, 12:00pm - 4:00pm (two day workshop)

Class Description:

• Review different types of colored pencils. Prismacolor vs other brands.
• Importance of substrata. Different types of paper.
• Techniques like layering colors, blending and burnishing.
• Finishing-UV spray etc.

Small Colored Pencil Paintings with Big Impact

By working small-less complicated subject matters-you can work with different color schemes and learn color theory faster.
You can build your comfort level with colors working smaller.

Supplies:

• Please bring a colored pencil set you have - doesn’t matter if it’s not a huge set of colors - we can work around that. At minimum: blue, red, yellow, brown, white. Or purchase a basic set.
• Paper - colored pencil paper like Strathmore 400 Series
• A pencil sharpener
• Colorless blender
• Pencil
